Birdhouse – Modern Birdhouse (Rustic Orange) Unused PVC salvaged from throw away pile w/ reclaimed barnwood. Hanging birdhouse, handcrafted.

The main body of this birdhouse is handcrafted using PVC pipe that is unused and salvaged from the throw away pile. The interior and the exterior of the birdhouse are sanded and the edges are rounded to eliminate any sharp edges. The exterior of the birdhouse is sprayed with primer, paint, and coated with clear. Extra care is taken to make sure the interior nesting area is not painted to eliminate the chance of harm to the occupants. The front entry and the back end of the birdhouse are reclaimed barnwood that is coated with boiled linseed oil to help preserve the wood for many seasons. PVC rings are installed behind entry wall and back wall (see attached pictures) for extra security to keep unwanted visitors from pivoting/rotating the panels. The back wall is easily removed for seasonal cleaning by removing two stainless screws. Aluminum rod is used for a perch at the entry to keep it looking new and modern for many seasons. Moisture relieving holes are drilled in the bottom of the nesting area. A leather strap is attached to the top of the birdhouse for easy hanging.
