-Creation process-

• First i start off with a bigger chainsaw and remove all the mass of the wood that shouldn’t be there. In other words “blocking it out”.

•Once i have the basic shape, then we move to a smaller chainsaw with what’s called a dime tip bar attached to it. It’s a custom chainsaw bar made specifically for carving fine details such as fur, eyes, and claws.

•Once i complete that I use an assortment of different power tools like dremels, Sanders, di grinders and such to put all the finish work Into is so I can make it look as real as possible. I then torch burn them to get the flakey pieces off wood that are still attached off and apply a coat of Krylon black spray paint.

•Cracking is a part of the process the wood sculpture has to go through in order to release moisture. I treat every bear with 3 coats of spar urithane. This helps to reduce cracking, it also provides a moisture barrier, as well as UV protection.

•I pack these extremely tight in bubble wrap inside a box to ensure survival during shipping. If you have any issues at all when you receive your bear, please contact me and I promise I will make it right.
