Life size Folk Art deer – Imagine this beautiful, life-size deer in your yard or greeting you on the porch each day! His graceful neck and the upright tail are details that will melt your heart. The design was inspired by a mid century deer used for a Christmas display in a downtown San Francisco department store window!
This incredible woodland deer is handcrafted from natural, textured cedar. Cedar naturally repels insects and has a long life outdoors. The natural wood tone will age to a beautiful weathered gray for an authentic look that will keep getting better with time! The hand shaped antlers are made of maple and will contrast with the body just like the real thing.
Approximately 48″ tall x 36″ long and 11″ wide giving the deer a realistic size and presence. It weighs approximately 23 lbs. which allows it to sit firmly and stand in almost all types of weather!
The head, neck and body are skillfully crafted with dowels so there are no visible screws or nails. Because of the large size, the deer will ship unassembled. A simple screwdriver and a quick 15 minutes will have it ready to go. (Detailed photo instructions will be included.) This handsome deer will be happy living outside in three-season weather, but you may want to bring it in or cover him during winter.
