Neighborhood Book Library/Blessing Box–one color with metal roof and two doors with loose post mount, ASSEMBLED—-Double Wide version

I call this new neighborhood book exchange our “Double Wide Model”, designed by me. This box is so large and heavy it requires a 6 x 6 post, which you can purchase at your local lumber store.

It is made from 3/4″ and 1/2” Exterior grade plywood with a factory painted steel roof. This neighborhood book exchange is for sharing your books with neighbors and friends. It has two doors and a 6×6 post base that will be shipped loose to cut the cost of shipping. It will be painted white on the inside and your choice of color(s) on the outside. You will also be able to choose from 5 different roof colors: red, blue, black, green, and white. I seal all the inside joints with clear silicone, before painting, to ensure a weather tight seal.

It measures approximately 29.5″ x 19.5″ x 19.5″ and weighs approximately 55 lbs. These neighborhood book exchanges are great for rural America, where great distances make sharing books with neighbors and friends a great way to provide a gift to your neighbors. They are also great in the city where your neighbors can “leave” their books in your neighborhood book exchange when they exchange theirs for yours.

If kept painted and maintained, this neighborhood book exchange should last for years of service keeping you and your friends supplied with a new source of books.
