The Lockheed Constellation was the most elegant passenger aircraft in the 1950s. This model is decorated in TWA livery, since it was the launch airline operator, but was also flown by Pan AM, Delta, Eastern and Northwest, just to name a few.
It is crafted from Poplar, painted in acrylic enamel, and trimmed with vinyl striping and lettering.
It measures 16 inches in length with a wingspan of 16 inches, and is 4 inches in height.
The wind spinner does not include a yard stake or post for mounting. It comes with a six-inch long, 1/4 inch diameter rod which inserts into the bottom of the aircraft. If you don’t have a fence post or railing to mount it on, you can buy your own yard stake from a local box store. Instructions are included with the wind spinner for mounting it on that box store yard stake.
The completed wind spinners are sprayed with a coating of Sunguard(TM) for UV protection. Sunguard recommends that a coating be re-applied every 4 to 6 months for best UV protection.
