Vintage French Cast Iron Carriage Tractor Lorry Steam Engine Train Vehicle Automobilia Stepladder Steps Step Ladder circa 1950-60’s / EVE

A vintage French set of vehicle steps. We don’t know what vehicle they came off but would appreciate any input. We have seen these used as flower pot stands and repurposed as steps. The steps themselves have surface rust but are still very strong and functional. Solid cast iron and heavy. See further notes on condition below.

Size roughly: 57h x 40w x 30d cm – 22.5h x 16h x 12d inches, steps 20cm – 8 inches across, once fixed the drop to the steps will be 20 cm – 8 inches to the top step and 53 cm – 21 inches to the second from the fixing point
Condition: in vintage condition with signs of previous use, marks, scrapes and scratches, surface rust, but still a good strong functional piece
Weight: 4.5 kg each (so expensive to ship internationally, ask about cheaper options if you are not in a rush)

* Note. Postage from France falls into bands. Up to 2kg is a reasonable cost but anything over 2kg gets expensive. The more expensive bands are 2-5kg, 5-10kg, 10-20kg and 20-30kg. So when purchasing multiple orders, we can sometimes make savings over and above automatic postage discounts applied at checkout. For example, if you buy 4 items weighing 2kg each (allowing 2kg for packaging) we can pack those items into a 10kg package.
