Here comes the cute little brother of the big fish – he has a body diameter of about 9 cm including fins and a length of about 20 cm.
It must stand on a stick and thus fits beautifully between your flowers or floats above them.
One has an open mouth and the other bares its teeth. Just write me a quick note and tell me which one you’d like me to send you.

It is of course weatherproof – but not frost-proof, so it has to be brought into a warm place in winter.

Procedure: First, I make a ball out of clay. Then it needs to be
rest and then… I start sculpting! Then comes the most beautiful part of my work: creating the fish, birds, or ladybugs. Now I create the eye area (very important) and the remaining elements that contribute to the fish’s harmonious appearance. After another drying time of about two weeks, the fish goes into the kiln and is fired for the first time at 950°C. Now I have to decide what color I want to paint my creature.
I buy glaze colors in powder form and then mix them with water to create a somewhat thick, runny mixture with the right ratio, which I use to paint the clay. It takes some time to learn how to use the glazes properly, because not every glaze works the same. Some glazes run easily and form tears. Most others, on the other hand, are stable in their application area, meaning they don’t run—even though you sometimes want them to. One color is easy to apply evenly, the next always ends up patchy! I should add that I can’t dip my creatures in paint—that’s also a common practice—but apply the paint with a brush. Dipping doesn’t work because I have too many corners and curves to work on, and I use so many colors—that only works with a brush. Once the fish is finished glazing, it goes back into the kiln at 1050°C.
